BJS doing the work of widening and deepening of rivers in villages across Marathwada

In last 2-3 years, scarcity of rainfall has caused acute drought situation in Marathwada. Bhartiya JainSanghtana(BJS) is trying to work give relief to the people here through its different works. With the aim, that the rainfall water gets stored in ponds, lakes and rivers in ample quantity, BJS had did the same work of widening and deepening of ponds,  lakes in 2013 at Beed District and its positive effects are seen in such acute drought situation too.  Same type of work of widening and deepening is being carried out in Marathwada region currently. Huge silt was gathered in the rivers Chousala, Sindphana.

So even after having enough of water storage capacity, these rivers got dried prematurely.  To avoid such problem in future, BJS deployed machinery on these rivers to clean it and worked tirelessly for 106 hours . Due to this work, the area of Chousala river widened by 0.75 kms,and deepened by almost 70 feet, while Sindpfana was widened by 1 km.  Apart from this Kesapuri Parbhani,  Karpara, Bindusara,Dongri rivers at Beed district are undergoing its cleanliness. Even the work of removing silt from the small pond at Kankaleshwar temple is underway.
